JAKARTA: After two days of hoping, the dreaded news finally came. Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ8501 has been confirmed to have crashed into the sea off Kalimantan.
The crew of a Hercules rescue aircraft first sighted some debris that looked like the door and escape chute of the plane and as rescuers zoomed into the area, they located the first body in Karimata Strait near Air Hitam Bay.
