Dasha Logan tops UK Soul charts

PETALING JAYA: Singer- Songwriter Dasha Logan’s (pic) single Cleverly is topping the UK Soul charts, two months after it was released.

“I got the notice that it may be number one on Sunday, but only got the confirmation two hours ago.

“I was jumping up and down like a crazy person and called my mother and brother, put it up on Facebook and stuff since,” she told The Star Online.

The daughter of late Alleycats vocalist Loganathan Arumugam made headlines when her single first hit the chart few weeks back, steadily climbing up the chart.

Dasha’s single came ahead of SuCh’s Trial and Error and Calvin Richardson’s I am Calvin.

The 26-year-old said that her new single Leave Your Man, will be released early next month and will be released on iTunes and YouTube.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all who have been supporting and buying my single.

“People in Britain are beginning to see how supportive Malaysians are of other Malaysians. It would be interesting to see how people, not only from Malaysia but other countries as well, can collaborate,” she said.
