PETALING JAYA: Tempers are flaring among Malaysians as they flock to petrol stations only to find that the supply of RON97 fuel is running low.

Facebook user Napsiah Wan Salleh said she noticed that the situation had been going on for the past few days.

“One petrol station in Bangsar has displayed notices of RON97 having run dry. The station next to it still has RON97,” she said.

Another user, SilentSaint Kallen Anthony, said he went to two petrol stations in Sungai Long a few days ago, both of which did not have RON97 in stock.

“(I) went near Sg Ramal, (it’s) also the same,” he said.

A Facebook user from Johor Baru, Andrew Ho, said that there was also a shortage in his area.

“Yes, no stock at the petrol station in Taman Mutiara Rini JB,” he commented.

Other users, such as Chandrra Vejayan, Enmabaragesi Hassan and Rajesh Kanasan, confirmed that many petrol stations faced the same problem but did not specify the affected areas.

However, Noor Ashikin reported that there was no shortage in Penang.
