Umno AGM: Delegate tells leadership to tackle corruption


KUALA LUMPUR: An Umno Wanita delegate has told the top leadership of the party to take seriously issues regarding integrity and corruption if it wanted to get back the people's trust.

Datuk Maznah Wahid pointed out that Malaysia was ranked 53rd out of 177 countries in the 2013 Transparency-International perception corruption index and the fourth largest exporter of illicit capital according to anti-graft watchdog Global Financial Integrity (GFI).
