Chief Justice leads Kelantan honours list


KOTA BARU: Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria headed the list of 630 award recipients at the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with the Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V’s 45th birthday.

In a ceremony held at the Istana Balai Besar here today, Arifin was bestowed the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SPMK), which carries the title Datuk Lela Negara.

Thirty-nine other individuals were also conferred various awards which carry the title Datuk, including Army Chief Jen Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, who was the sole recipient of the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SPMK).

Halfmoon Bay Capital Limited Director Tan Sri Wan Azmi Wan Hamzah was the sole recipient of the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SJMK), which also carries the title Datuk.

Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mamat was among three individuals conferred the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (SPSK), which carries the title Datuk.

Sultan Muhammad V also conferred the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (SPSK), which carries the title Datuk, to Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang.

Seven individuals received the Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DJMK), which carries the title Datuk, including Wisma AZE Group Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Datuk Azham Zamiri Mohamad Satar and P. Raman Nair Sdn Bhd Managing Director Eh Ain @ Chandra Sekaran Rama Nair.

The other four recipients of the DJMK were A&D Printing Stationery Sdn Bhd Managing Director Mohd Nasir Ab Ghani, Pioneer Million Holding (M) Sdn Bhd Director Nik Mohd Zainal Abidin Nik Yusof, International Islamic University of Malaysia’s Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences (Department of Biomedical Science) lecturer Prof Dr Ridzwan Hashim and Permodalan Nasional Berhad Chief Investment Officer Wan Roshdi Wan Musa. — Bernama
