KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians do not have to worry about the status of Chinese primary schools despite some calling for these to be abolished as the right to mother tongue education is protected and enshrined under the Federal Constitution.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak gave his assurance at the 61st MCA annual general meeting here yesterday that Chinese schools are here to stay.
