Family relieved after Azrina is finally laid to rest


They came by the thousands: A huge crowd gathering near the Al-Hidayah mosque in Assam Kumbang after the remains of chief stewardess Azrina Yakob were brought to the Tekah airport in Taiping in a special helicopter. The casket was carried by 9th Batallion Royal Malay Regiment members.

TAIPING: A huge burden has been lifted from the shoulders of the family of Malaysia Airlines flight stewardess Azrina Yakob with the return and burial of her remains.

Her father Yakob Silam Sudin, from Alor Setar, said the family was still grieving over the loss but felt that a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.
