MALACCA: The two medallion-like artefacts found in Pulau Nangka on April 30 are probably ancient Majapahit amulets and not ancient coins, said Malacca chief minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron.

He said a study carried out by relevant quarters revealed that the artefacts could not possibly be ancient coins as speculated, as words depicting ancient Javanese mantra were carved on them.
