Cops on the alert for cyber gambling rackets

PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman is gathering cyber intelligence and monitoring the Internet for illegal gambling rackets as the 2014 FIFA World Cup looms.

Federal Secret Societies, Gambling and Vice Division (D7) principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Roslee Chik said during the last World Cup four years ago, the total bets amounted to almost half a billion ringgit.
