Robbers fail to haul ATMs in Shah Alam

PETALING JAYA: Four robbers failed to haul two automated teller machines (ATMs) in Section 14, Shah Alam on Thursday.

Shah Alam district police chief Asst Comm Azisman Alias said the incident was only realised by the management of the building at about 9.30am.

"A police report was lodged an hour after the discovery," he said.

ACP Azisman added that based on the closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) footages, at least four men in dark-coloured attire were spotted.

"Several were seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jacket. They fled the premise when one of them accidentally triggered the alarm at about 5.20am," he said.

ACP Azisman said that two of the three ATMs were sprayed with black paint.

"We are in the midst of identifying the suspects," he said. No losses were recorded.
