A Singaporean and two Indonesians collapsed and died during a trance music festival in Jakarta from drug overdose, reported China Press.
The incident took place only two days after six people collapsed and died after taking methamphetamine at a similar concert in Kuala Lumpur. Ten others were hospitalised.
In Jakarta, the three had attended the music festival themed “A State of Trance” at Ancol Beach on Sunday.
The daily quoted the Indonesian police as identifying the Singaporean as Chua Wen Hu, 26, while the two Indonesians, aged 18 and 19, were not named.
It was reported that the three youths had taken drugs before attending the music festival.
They had also consumed vodka mixed with other drinks.
Chua’s family members claimed that he had died due to cardiac arrest.

Wu, who had graduated from the National Taipei University in sociology, had enrolled at the Shih Hsin University to pursue a master’s programme in social development.
However, he quit the programme after failing to submit his thesis after four years.
