The women were being detained on suspicions of working without permits.

The raid, conducted by a team of four officers and 13 personnel from the Bukit Aman vice unit at 1.10am Friday, found some of the women being paraded on stage while others were entertaining guests.

Operation leader Asst Supt Shahrulnizam Jaafar said seven men, six locals and a Thai, who worked there, were also detained.

"The women were detained on suspicions of working without permits. We will also investigate if there is any evidence of human trafficking," ASP Shahrulnizam said, when met at the scene.
