Syed Husin’s wife, 68, dies

PETALING JAYA: The wife of former PKR deputy president Senator Dr Syed Husin Ali, Sabariah Abdullah, passed away at her home in Kampung Tunku on Friday night.

Sabariah, 68, was performing her ablutions that evening when she suddenly collapsed.

Syed Husin tweeted that his wife, a retired teacher, passed away at 7.40pm.

Sabariah, who leaves three children, was laid to rest at Kota Damansara Muslim cemetery yesterday.

PKR vice-president Tian Chua said Sabariah was an activist who had fought for the interests of oppressed urban settlers.
