Nik Aziz: Nasharuddin no longer PAS member after expulsion from council

BACHOK: Embattled former PAS deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa's (pix) expulsion from the Syura Council is tantamount to being sacked from the party, said PAS spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

He said Nasharuddin need not wait for the letter from the party on the status of his membership because his expulsion from the Syura Council automatically meant he was no longer a PAS member.

"It is immaterial whether he has received the letter from the Syura Council that he had been expelled or wait for reply on his status of membership, the fact still stands that the Lafaz Cerai (proclamation of divorce) has been done with and he is officially no longer a party member," he told reporters here Thursday.
