KUALA LUMPUR: A debt collector who robbed and injured two siblings has been given an exemplary sentence of 25 strokes of the rotan and 12 years prison here.
“Leniency to those who are old enough to understand the nature and consequences of their acts is indefensible. In the interest of society, it is imperative for criminals to be made to learn that those who commit violent crimes will receive exemplary sentences,” said Sessions Court judge S.M. Komathy.
