PUTRAJAYA: Outlets offering Ramadan buffets will come under the scrutiny of the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jakim), which has warned that they cannot display halal signages without its approval.
The department has issued warnings to 154 food operators that had failed to abide by Jakim's halal standards among the 471 it had inspected so far, said director-general Datuk Othman Mustapha said.
