Cop dies while trying to catch a thief

MALACCA: A police office died after being hit by a lorry while attempting to arrest a suspect who had stolen a furniture truck in Kampung Solok Limau Purut, Alor Gajah here, at 6.55am Monday morning.

The victim, Corporal Rasul Tumin, aged 47, an officer from the Alor Gajah Police Headquarters Patrol Unit died after being hit by the truck, which was abandoned by the suspect on a hilly path in the village.
