PETALING JAYA: The rank of Chief Inspector has been abolished with Bukit Aman deciding only to retain the lower rank of Inspector.
The move has set off ripples among 2,000 officers holding the rank of Chief Inspector. According to a Jan 18 memo issued by Bukit Aman, all C/Inspectors would revert to the rank of Inspector.
