Repentant Chef Mohd Nadzri Redzuawan has appealed for a chance to right his wrongs after he was publicly scolded by his father Chef Wan for falsifying his CV.

Kosmo! reported that Chef Mohd Nadzri, better known as Chef Riz, said every human being made mistakes.

He said Chef Wan had the right to admonish him as a father.

“I apologise and regret what has happened. I hope to be given another chance to correct my mistakes,” he said.

Chef Riz, 29, one of the Masterchef Malaysia judges, asked certain parties not to let the issue drag on as it would only threaten his “name, career and relationship with my father”.

“I have already apologised, why drag this out?

“In addition, Astro Ria selected me as a judge for my qualifications as a chef and experience as a television host and in managing restaurants,” he said, adding that he would upload a new profile on the Masterchef Malaysia website as soon as possible.

Chef Riz earlier admitted overstating his work experience abroad when it was reported that two top New York restaurants, Babbo and Le Bernadin, had refuted his claims of being chef de cuisine (head chef) and sous chef (direct assistant to the head chef) while he was there.

> Harian Metro reported that a teenage girl had to endure a 60-hour long nightmare when she was locked up, abused and raped after she was “sold” by her friend to pay off a debt.

The 19-year-old victim from Johor had gone with her friend for what she was told would be an all-expenses paid vacation to Kuala Lumpur on Nov 6.

A police source said the victim was taken to a house in Taman Pusat Kepong early in the morning and held captive until Nov 9.

“Her MyKad and other important documents as well as cash were taken by her friend who locked her up in a room,” he said.

He said a man, believed to be the woman's accomplice, then arrived at the house and caned the victim.

“While she was being caned, the victim's friend ignored her cries for help.

“The man then raped her,” he said.

The source said another man came to keep watch over the victim.

She managed to escape by stealing the house keys after both men fell asleep.

City deputy CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Arasa confirmed that a police report had been lodged and said it would be investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
