GEORGE TOWN: Barely a month after it started business, an entertainment outlet was raided by the police, who arrested 21 foreign women working as guest relations officers (GROs) there.

Conducted by an anti-vice team, the raid at 1am yesterday was codenamed Ops Noda.

The outlet is believed to have offered sex services to its customers.

Among the GROs, 15 were China nationals, five Vietnamese and one Cambodian. A check showed that they had entered the country as tourists a few days ago.

OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said all 21 women had been remanded pending investigations.
