PUTRAJAYA: Disputes over the Hire-Purchase Act 1967 (Amendment 2010), which was enforced on June 15, have been resolved following a meeting between the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry with the relevant parties last month.
Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said those involved in the meeting on July 28 were the Malaysian Automotive Association, Federation of Motor and Credit Companies Association of Malaysia, Association of Malay Importers and Traders of Motor Vehicles, Proton Edar Dealers Association, Association of Hire Purchase Companies Malaysia, Asset Financing and Leasing Association of Malaysia, Puspakom, Motordata Research Consortium and consumer associations.
