KOTA KINABALU: A mango tree that has stood firm for years in a village saved the lives of three siblings when it stopped their house from being swept away in a mudslide after heavy rains in the state capital.
The two sisters and brother escaped unscathed after the stilts gave way and their house crashed to the ground before sliding down towards a river at Kg Tebobon here but was stopped by the tree near the riverbank.
