Court of Appeal: Bahasa Malaysia must be used in court proceedings, documents

PUTRAJAYA: Lawyers are bound by the supremacy of the Malay language or Bahasa Malaysia in court proceedings, the Court of Appeal ruled.

Malay must also be used in all documents filed in court, it said in its written judgement when dismissing an appeal by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his RM100mil defamation suit against former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
