KUALA LUMPUR: The recent spat between Malaysia and Indonesia over the pendet dance issue has pained Indonesian singer Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani.
But Rossa, as she is affectionately known, feels the controversy over Malaysia’s alleged “theft” of Indonesia’s cultural heritage, ranging from batik to dances and songs, was nothing more than a huge misunderstanding.
