SHAH ALAM: The Syariah High Court issued a detention order against self-proclaimed “Rasul Melayu” (Malay Prophet) Abdul Kahar Ahmad for alleged deviant teachings pending a hearing on Oct 7.
Syariah Judge Abu Zaky Mohammad made his ruling on Wednesday after finding Abdul Kahar guilty of failing to appear in court after being first charged at the Syariah High Court here in 2005 for five charges under the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment.
