KUALA LUMPUR: From Jan to May this year, 1,247 cybersecurity “incidents” were reported to Cybersecurity Malaysia, a 25% increase from the same period last year.
There were 2,123 cases reported in the whole of 2008, and an average increase of 50% of such incidents every year, said Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Fadillah Yusuf.
