KLANG: A bogus Datuk, who was arrested on Tuesday, was charged in a magistrate’ court here yesterday for cheating a company director of RM500,000.
Johari Beran, a 43-year-old manager, was accused of inducing Mat Isa Embi, 47, director of Sierra Mulia Sdn Bhd into handing him a cheque for RM500,000 to forward an offer letter and work paper for the renovation and upgrade of the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) building.
