KOSMO! reported on the activities of a deviationist religious sect, which allowed its followers to refrain from praying, fasting or reading the Quran – the basic duties of all Muslims.
The paper said the Abu Darsan sect, banned by the Islamic Development Department (Jakim), claimed to have 2,000 followers comprising professional workers, university graduates and uniformed personnel.
