KUALA LUMPUR: There is no data on foreign workers who entered Malaysia more than once during a major operation conducted from 1998 to 1999 against illegal immigrants.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said the computer system of the Immigration Department was being updated during that time and as such, the thumbprints of illegal immigrants were collected manually and kept at the Bukit Aman police headquarters.
