KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is the 26th largest source of greenhouse gases in the world, a position that places it within the ranks of industrialised nations.
The country released 177.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2004, which is 0.6% of the global total, according to the latest Hu-man Development Report by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
