THE development of theMalaysian Public SectorOpen Source Software(OSS) Master Plan by theMalaysian AdministrativeModernisation and ManagementPlanning Unit (MAMPU) willserve as a guide to acceleratethe adoption and usage of OSSin the public sector. OSS allowsthe government to adopt variousICT technologies that may beadapted, enhanced and sharedto further enhance the deliveryof public sector service.
As a result of the dedicatedresearch and development(R&D) activity put in by theOpen Source CompetencyCentre (OSCC), the centre hasreleased several software solutionsthat are already beingfreely distributed for governmentagency use.
