LEARNING how to drive a car was a breeze in the 1980s.

“I remember those days... all you needed to do was to be able to verbalise the meaning of a few Highway Code elements, as indicated by a JPJ officer, and familiarise yourself with some practical tests like driving up a hill, side and reverse parking. There was so little emphasis on road safety then,” reminisced JPJ Director-General Datuk Ahmad Mustapha Abdul Rashid.
