PUTRAJAYA: Two months after the launch of a project to encourage motorcyclists to wear crash helmets in Kuang, Selangor, the number of deaths from bike accidents dropped to zero, compared with two deaths in the two months before the start of the programme.
“In the neighbouring village of Ijok, where no such project was held, fatal motorcycle accidents continued to climb from two to four deaths,” Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy said.
