KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Association wants the Human Resources Ministry to exempt timber industry workers from certain provisions of the amended Sarawak Labour Ordinance, on the grounds that the provisions were “impractical.”
Association chairman Datuk Leo Chai said the provisions went against longstanding practices prevailing in the industry.
