IN A medical first, specialists from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi took a leg bone from a dead person and transplanted it into a 45-year-old woman, Tamil Nesan reported.
It said Geetha Rani’s left leg was crushed in an accident in 2001. After an operation, it was smaller than her right leg and for the past three months she was bedridden and in constant pain.
