Set up agro parks, says Muhyiddin

PUTRAJAYA: State governments have to provide land to set up agriculture parks similar to current industrial parks in a bid to promote the “sunset industry” and reduce the food import bill by at least RM7bil by 2010. 

Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the ministry on its part would provide the basic infrastructure for the agriculture parks such as roads, drains, and electricity and water supply for each lot.
