PETALING JAYA: Car owners will still have to manually conduct transfer of ownership of their vehicles despite the introduction of the Road Transport Department's (JPJ) e-Hakmilik system.
According to the department's public relations officer, Abdul Rauf Jamalis, the e-Hakmilik system only makes the process of ownership claims and cancellations by finance and credit companies more convenient.
