Changes to check conflicts

KUALA LUMPUR: Complaints about directors with conflicting interests from stakeholders has prompted the Government to amend the Companies Act 1965.  

“We received many complaints on conflicts of interest involving company boards, and we want to streamline matters to protect stakeholders,” said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal.
