MIRI: The rat trails along the Sarawak-Kalimantan border created by smugglers and illegal immigrants have evolved into elephant highways so big it may now require a concrete wall to plug the gaps.
Sarawak General Operations Force Brigade commander Senior Asst Comm (II) Hamzah Samsuddin said a physical barrier would have to be erected because patrolling alone could not prevent illegal cross-boundary movements.
