Proton and Perodua still control car sales market


PROTON and Perodua still control the passenger vehicles market in the country despite an influx of foreign and locally assembled foreign cars, said International Trade and Industry Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Dr Tan Yee Kew. 

She said the two companies sold 73.8% of passenger vehicles or 380,568 units last year although the percentage had dropped from 75.8% in 2002.
