LABOUR BOTTLENECK: (March 5) Thousands of Indonesians wanting to return to Malaysia as legal workers are now “stranded” due to alleged administrative delays that have caused a massive bottleneck.
The Malaysian Employers Federation said at least two economic sectors – construction and plantation – were critically hit by delays in getting workers. Indonesia has been given a month to resolve the delay otherwise Malaysia will seek its needs elsewhere.
