KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian celebrities are being roped in to promote the Force of Nature concert aimed at raising funds for tsunami-hit countries.
Singers Ferhad and Jeslina Hashim, former Miss Malaysia and models Arianna Teoh and Lina Teoh, former F1 driver Alex Yoong and actors Zahim Albakri and Chacko Vadaketh will be putting in their best effort to promote the concert although they will not be performing at the event.
“I think we can collect more funds if all of us help in some way. We always assume that other people are already helping,” said Jeslina.
Zahim said he would like to help by going on the air.
“I will be going on radio talks to promote the concert and just help out in any way I can,” he said.

The concert, organised by the Force of Nature Foundation, will be held at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday.
The foundation, a non-profit organisation, is committed to raising funds and global awareness for the long-term needs of natural disaster victims.
Also present at the briefing yesterday were the concert’s executive producer Scott Kramer and producer Barry Dane.
Kramer said there were many artistes who wanted to do their part to help victims of disasters.
“The concert is just an engine for them to do so,” he said, adding that 100% of the ticket sales would be channelled to the foundation.
Dane said more than 400 people were involved in the preparations for the four-hour concert which would also feature local singers Sheila Majid, Dayang Nurfaizah, Anuar Zain and vocal group Innuendo.
It will also be spiced up with the presence of Grammy winners Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, former Fugees members Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill.
Tickets are priced at RM82, RM182, RM242, RM352 and RM552 and can be booked through www.axcess.com.my or call 03-7711 5000.
