PENANG: The second inclined lift at the 115-year-old Kek Lok Si Temple is now ready to serve as a standby facility in case the existing one breaks down.
Temple trustee Datuk Steven Ooi said the countrys only hillslope lifts would link the temples lower station near the pagoda to the upper station at the Kuan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) statues complex.
