Ipoh-based bookie ring busted

PENANG: An Ipoh-based bookmaking syndicate said to be capable of accepting up to RM5mil worth of horse-racing bets a month was busted with the arrest of four men in Taman Sitar Indah, Nibong Tebal, here. 

State CID chief SAC II Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said the four men, aged between 38 and 50, were nabbed at 5.15pm on Saturday by a state anti-vice team led by Chief Insp Zailanni Amit acting on a tip-off.
