PENANG: Former journalist A.R. Amiruddin wept, recalling his childhood and loved ones in Aceh.
The veteran, who had served 19 years with The Star and 10 years with the defunct Straits Echo, both in Penang, said most of his relatives in Meulaboh and Banda Aceh may have been killed by the tsunamis as they lived near the coast.
