CHENNAI: Although no Malaysians had been among the injured or dead in the tsunami that devastated the coastal parts of Tamil Nadu, the Malaysian Consulate here had been “on high alert.”
Consul-general Rosli Ismail said they had been deluged with numerous inquiries from families and friends, who were worried about the safety of their loved ones.
