KUALA LUMPUR: The Governments subsidy on petrol has gone up despite the increase in the price of the fuel, Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said.
He said that although the petrol price had gone up by five sen per litre in the wake of rising crude oil prices, the Government was forking out an additional six sen subsidy for every litre of the fuel sold.
