Computers, software seized in raid on firm

KUALA LUMPUR: More than RM300,000 worth of computer equipment and suspected pirated software were seized from a company here on Tuesday during a raid by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry. 

The raid on the company, which specialises in data conversion for the oil and gas industry, came at the end of a one-week deadline for companies to legalise their software by Tuesday, when Ops Tulen 2004 commenced.
