KUALA LUMPUR: Embassies here need to play a more proactive role in reducing the number of foreign women inmates in Malaysian prisons, said the Malaysian Bar Council.
Its treasurer Ragunath Kesavan said 80% to 90% of the inmates in the Kajang Women’s Prison were foreigners.
