KUCHING: Public accounts committees should play a more proactive role in line with calls for greater accountability within the civil service, said Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan.
He said these committees were a part of the parliamentary structure to ensure that the Government was held accountable for the management of its resources.
